One of my most favorite dystopian series ever, The Hunger Games was a great book. It was written by Suzanne Collins and became one of the popular book series in history. A movie was even made out of it!
Part 2
What did I like about this book? I loved how the author used cliffhangers at the end of many chapters, they made me want to keep reading. Also, there was plenty of descriptive language, from the deaths to important scenes. The author used a WHOLE BUNCH of descriptive language during one of the character's deaths. Katniss made it very emotional and realistic. This is one of the main reasons why I like The Hunger Games.
Part 3 (SPOILER ALERT)
For me, the most surprising part of this book was when Rue was killed by Marvel. This was the descriptive part I just talked about. Also, the book ended on a cliffhanger because what Katniss and Peeta did with the berries gave the rebels hope. After reading this book, I had no idea what would happen, but trust me, I read the other two books and terrible things happened in them. It's hard not to cry while reading sometimes.
Overall rating: 10/10
